Promoting Local History Through Preservation and Programs

Our Mission
The Hadley-Lake Luzerne Historical Society is dedicated to the discovery, preservation and dissemination of knowledge of the history of the Towns of Hadley and Lake Luzerne in upstate New York.
We are an all-volunteer organization concerned with building a shared vision for the ongoing vitality of our community. Our Society’s artifacts and exhibits speak to our Southern Adirondack community’s life and development over several hundred years— farming, logging, grand hotels, manufacturing, dude ranches, and summer camps.
Visit our exhibition rooms and experience the Hadley-Lake Luzerne Region’s history and heritage. We’re a great resource for historical research. Come visit us soon!
Membership
We appreciate the generous support of the many individuals, families, businesses, and organizations who inspire our programs and activities.
