How an Independent, Locally Owned Newspaper Thrives in the Digital Age in the Adirondacks

The Chronicle Newspaper, a weekly publication covering the Adirondacks, is operated by publisher Mark Frost who was born and raised in Glens Fall. He started his career writing for the Glens Falls Times at the age of 14, he went to the University of Maryland Law School where he graduated Cum Laude. In 1980, he started The Chronicle with a $1,700 investment and grew it into the major Northeastern Weekly it is today. The Chronicle covers the Adirondacks, and thriving, in spite of the challenges facing today’s print media.
